Barcelona Gets Temporary Approval to Register Olmo and Victor

The Spanish High Council for Sports (CSD) has granted FC Barcelona temporary authorization to register midfielder Dani Olmo and forward Pau Victor for the remainder of the season. This decision is provisional while Barcelona’s appeal is being reviewed by judicial authorities.

Previously, La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) had denied Barcelona’s request to register these players for the second half of the season. On January 1st, Barcelona submitted an application for new licenses for Olmo and Victor to the RFEF.

Olmo joined Barcelona in August of last year and was only registered for the first half of the 2024/25 season. His contract includes a clause allowing him to leave the club for free if not registered in January.

In the 2024/25 season, 26-year-old Olmo has scored 6 goals and provided 1 assist in 15 matches across all competitions. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Victor has contributed 2 goals and 1 assist in 17 matches.

This temporary approval allows Barcelona to include these players in their squad while the legal process continues, potentially impacting the team’s performance in the upcoming matches.
