Kuzmichev Doubts Sevilla’s Willingness to Pay 7 Million Euros for Tiknizyan
Vladimir Kuzmichev, the former director of Lokomotiv Moscow’s academy, has shared his thoughts on the potential transfer of midfielder Nair Tiknizyan to Sevilla. In a recent interview, Kuzmichev expressed skepticism about the likelihood of the deal materializing, especially at the reported price.
When asked about the transfer rumors, Kuzmichev stated, “I don’t have exact information, but based on my impressions, this story has been ongoing since last year. At that time, the transfer seemed more likely to happen.”
Explaining his reasoning, Kuzmichev pointed out, “Nair was a regular starter then, with good statistics. In the first half of this season, Tiknizyan hasn’t played as frequently and hasn’t been able to showcase his best form. European clubs are meticulous about such things and closely observe potential recruits over time.”
Kuzmichev suggested that if Sevilla does decide to pursue Tiknizyan, they would likely try to negotiate a lower price, which wouldn’t be in Lokomotiv’s best interests. When asked if he believes Sevilla would pay the reported 6-7 million euros for Tiknizyan, Kuzmichev responded, “It’s unlikely.”
The former academy director’s comments highlight the complexities of international transfers and the importance of consistent performance for players looking to make moves to top European leagues.
